Jose Manalo's impersonation of the incoming president, Rodrigo Duterte, a.k.a. Rodney Juterte was a big hit to viewers. Even Duterte himself is impressed that he gave Jose Manalo advice in imitating him.
A report came from '24 Oras Weekend' by Audrey Carampel saying how enthusiastic Mayor Duterte was to Jose Manalo's impersonation. His advice was, "Jose Manalo enjoy the show. Ilayo mo lang konti dito (indicating with his hands)".
"The reason why I’m placing my hand over my right (side of the face) is that I’m pressing a nerve there below the ear. Kasi nadisgrasya ako sa motor. To lessen the pain, dinidiin ko 'yan".
Jose gave a profound 'thank you' to the next president's cheery attitude towards Jose's imitation of him. He even joke how, "Ayoko pong masira ‘yung karakter ninyo, kasi tinatakpan ko po. Mas makinis po ‘yung mukha n'yo kaysa sa akin ‘di hamak".
And of course, Rodney Juterte was not left unnoticed, he gave Mayor Duterte a message of thanks and love to him.
"Naka-jacket ako pero kinikilabutan ako. Pero maraming-maraming salamat po, Mr. President. Sa ating mahal na presidente binabati kita at marami kaming umaasa sa iyo. Mabuhay po kayo and God bless you mahal na Presidente."
