Sarah Geronimo recently confirmed the news that she will not be a coach for the upcoming 3rd season of The Voice Kids Philippines. During her renewal of contract, Sarah claims: "Sasabihin ko lang na gusto ko lang pong bumalik sa ASAP, talagang 'yung mag-concentrate naman sa growth ko bilang artist . Kasi I feel na bilang coach , parang lagi ko nga pong sinasabi na role-playing talaga 'yung pagiging coach."
The actress-singer added: " Yung para bang alam ko lahat, kapag nagbibigay ako ng opinion , para bang ang galing-galing ko. Medyo naghe-hesitate pa rin po ako doon,"
It is known that Sarah has been a coach for the previous two seasons along with Bamboo and Lea Salonga. Also, Lyca Gairanod and Darren Espanto came from her team and emerged as the winner and 1st runner-up of the first kids' edition, respectively. Moreover, Sarah says that there is a possibility of returning in the future seasons.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Sharon Cuneta will replace her place as a coach. It can be remembered that she made a move from TV5 and signed a two-year network contract with the Kapamilya network.
When asked about being the replacement for Sarah, she said: "I love Sarah! It should not be a problem. First of all, it happens in the business every once in a while, that a good artist decides to do other projects and then somebody has to take her place.”
"In this case, I don't think kung sinu-sino lang si Sarah," she added. "The mere fact na umalis 'yong bata hindi ibig sabihin na parang panakip butas lang. Hindi kukuha ang staff at bosses ng 'The Voice Kids' ng kung sino lang."
