Although photoshop is the sharpest tool to mask a person's flaw, photo cropping, a simple yet equally powerful alternative, can bring out a different point of view into a picture. While photoshopping involves many techniques like adding, enhancing angles and whatnot, cropping can secure the photo's original features but takes away undesirable 'parts' of the image.
However, it can also be misunderstood. For instance, a decent image of an individual cropped at a naughty angle can be seen as "dirty." Or a situation where a cropped face can look differently from the whole shot. Basically, photo cropping can trick your mind into thinking something that does not exist, making you confused and misinterpret an image if not seen in a big picture.
