It’s not everyday that people could come across strange creatures roaming outside. This is because most animals tend to hide from humans especially if these creatures are aware that they might be hunted by poachers or predators.
This is why park officials at Caw Caw Interpretive Center on Savannah Hwy. in Ravenel decided to install a ngiht vision camera outside in order to see what creatures they might come across with.
“The park is wild right now,” Thomas Thornton, the facility manager at Caw Caw, said regarding the mating season of some animals in the area.
“We put the wildlife camera out last night and we caught all kinds of critters,” Thornton added.
Upon checking the video the following day, they were thrilled to see not just different kinds of creatures but a dinosaur-like alligator that passed by the camera’s view.
“Certainly the most exciting thing was that alligator walking right by the camera,” he said.
Thornton said they’ve seen footages of different creatures such as bobcats but never have they seen an alligator that big.
“There’s at least one out here that looks like a dinosaur,” Thornton said.
