A man in China got love-struck by a woman he met online because of her beauty. When they both decided to meet each other in person, however, he got disappointed that the woman didn’t really look like a “goddess” like her photos on WeChat, a social networking app.
Huang lives in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province in northeastern China, while Xiaojin is from Suzhuo city in eastern Jiangsu Province. The cities are a little over 1400 miles far apart, but Huang was more than willing to meet the girl of his dreams. He spent a £5,300, five-hour flight to Suzhuo.
Much to his surprise, when they finally met in a café, Huang couldn’t believe his eyes. He got dismayed and felt cheated. Apparently, his “goddess” online girlfriend has rounder face with trace amounts of pimples.
Huang told her, “You can’t be Xiaojin, right? You look too different.”
Xiaojin answered him, “It’s me. I just edited the photo and wore makeup. This is what I look like normally.”
The two argued and eventually, Huang assaulted her in public for ‘lying’ to him and deceiving him. Reports said that he punched her in the face and stomped on her as she lay on the ground.
The café staff immediately stopped the commotion. The two were arrested by local police. A police spokesman reported that the pair was detained and the Xiaojin was given medical treatment after receiving assault from Huang.
