Children tend to do silly things especially those at a very young age. While some parents find their kids’ weird actions funny, some may think that the behavior is the result of bad parenting. Courtney Stewart, 21 and mother of a two-year-old boy with down syndrome was being attacked online after she posted a photo of her son inside the washing machine.
The mother from Erskine, Renfrewshire claims that she has nothing to apologize about. In the photo, it can be seen that she is holding the door of the machine while he was inside.
According to The Daily Record, Stewart said that the boy loved the washing machine. They only took the photo for fun and nothing else. It made them the talk of the town. However, their neighbors are not happy with what the woman did. One of them said:

“It was terrible to look at. For anyone, let alone someone who is also a parent, to take a picture like that and stick it on Facebook for a laugh is unbelievable. It’s no wonder people are angry about it. People in the town have been talking about it, because anyone who has seen it has been left shocked.”
Authorities came knocking at Stewart’s door. She was asked regarding the incident and she responded by saying that the young boy went inside the washing machine on his own. She said that her son was evidently laughing in the photos so she couldn’t get it why others took them negatively.
“What did they think I was doing to him? Taking him for a spin? He’s got a bit of a washing obsession. Anyone who knows him would know he’s got a washing obsession,” the mother explained.
Stewart shared that she had been confronted in her own house because of the picture. She had stressed that the machine was unplugged, the door was not totally shut, and her son is not hurt.
